What is Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a cornerstone of traditional Chinese medicine and involves inserting extremely thin needles into specific acupressure points on the body. When the needle is inserted, you may feel slight pressure or an aching feeling. An acupuncture session can last 20 to 30 minutes, and it’s best to relax and let the needles do their work. Be sure to find a certified acupuncturist to avoid any infection or bodily harm. For example, using high-quality single-use sterile needles is a must.

Many big institutions have recommended acupuncture as a form of treatment for many conditions. The National Institute of Health has recommended acupuncture as an option for many conditions, such as lower back pain, neck pain, knee pain, and headache. The World Health Organization has recommended acupuncture as an effective treatment method for over 40 conditions, ranging from depression to stroke.

It should be emphasized that Acupuncture is just one form of treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Zhu’s specialty is utilizing his 35+ years of experience to curate a personal treatment method based on your unique situation.

What is Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Herbal medicine is another significant part of traditional Chinese medicine. Herbal medicines are primarily plant-based and can come in different forms. The most popular are tablets and powders, but dried plants are used as well. Depending on the dosage, Herbal medicines can be as powerful as conventional western pharmaceuticals and should only be used under the direction of a licensed traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.

WHAT DO OUR CUSTOMERS SAY?

Zaki Kouloughli, Coach

5/5

“To say that I am grateful for your help is such a feeble expression.

Every winter and since I was teenager, I suffered from spasm in the lower back and pain in the left leg, which made moving a painful experience.

Conventional medicine helped a little at times, but the healing was always temporary, let along the side effects of medication. Acupuncture has proven very effective, healing, and long lasting. Thanks to your magic hands and well-mastered art, I feel great!”

“You really saved my face when I was stricken with Bell’s Palsy. Your expertise, perseverance and special generosity helped me go through this horribly painful condition.

Conventional medicine didn’t have any healing effects or serious approach for treatment. Your skilled use of acupuncture, massage and herbs was crucial in my complete recovery from Bell’s Palsy.

I want to express my gratitude for your contributing to my restoration of self and ability to show my face in public with dignity.  I am forever indebted to you for nothing short of a miracle.”

“For several years prior to my treatment with Chinese medicine, I had been suffering gradual and then severe premenopausal symptoms.

After my first acupuncture treatment I felt instant relief. After several more treatments, which included taking Chinese herbs, my sense of balance, quality of life and mental health have been restored fully.

I am at peace with my self. I recently went to my physician for my annual exam and an “over 40” physical. I received an excellent bill of health. I no longer suffer from any of the premenopausal symptoms.”
